Team Members

Dr. Amanda Beehler is the founder and owner of Dermatology at the Lakes. She is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs surgeon with over a decade of experience. She completed medical school in New Jersey, residency in Arizona, and a pediatric dermatology fellowship-bringing a well rounded and compassionate approach to patient care. 

Dr. Beehler is passionate about connecting with her patients and creating a comfortable, personalized experience. She enjoys treating a wide range of skin conditions, from acne to skin cancer, and especially values the opportunity to truly get to know the people she cares for.

Outside of work, Dr. Beehler enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. She also enjoys quilting as a creative outlet and way to unwind.

Jess Malinowski is from Northern Minnesota and completed her PA training in Montana.  She has worked in dermatology for 6 years after specialty training with Dr. Beehler.  She is excited to continue working closely with the DATL team at home in Detroit Lakes.  Her interest is in early skin cancer detection, skin care education, and getting to visit with our patients.  Pie a la mode is her favorite breakfast food.

Jenny Ziegler has been a dedicated member of Dr. Beehler’s dermatology team for 11 years, bringing expertise in both the medical and cosmetic aspects of skin care. She is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best while building lasting relationships with them.

Outside of work, Jenny treasures time with her husband, Ryan, their four children, and their beloved grandson. She also enjoys helping with their custom cabinet business, as well as spending time fishing, hunting, and scrapbooking.

Jessica Fithen lives with her husband Ryan and their 2 kids in rural Perham. She graduated in 2005 with her AAS in nursing and had been working in dermatology with Dr. Beehler for the last 5 years. 

When she is not working at the clinic, she can be found helping her husband with their excavating business and farming. She enjoys spending time with her family/friends and won't turn down and good book or puzzle

Kate has been a dedicated nurse for over 20 years and joined Dermatology at the Lakes about 8 months ago. She brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and a strong clinical background to her role. 

Kate especially enjoys surgery days and finds great fulfillment in helping patients through every step of their dermatologic care.

She values the supportive team environment and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with both staff and patients. 

Outside of work, Kate loves spending time with her family and friends. She has two children and two dogs, and cherishes the moments she spends with them.

Crystal joined Dermatology at the Lakes as Office Manager and brings with her a wide range of experience in healthcare administration. Before stepping into this role, she worked as an office manager for a plumbing company, an insurance coordinator in a dental office, and spent

several years as a veterinary technician-giving her a strong foundation in both patient care and behind the scenes operations.

Crystal loves working with her coworkers and being part of a supportive, team-oriented environment. Her organization and dedication help keep the clinic running smoothly every day.

Outside of work, Crystal enjoys camping and spending time with her family.

Ashley is a Front Office Coordinator with 9 years of experience in the medical field. She brings a unique blend of clinical knowledge and administrative expertise to Dermatology at the Lakes.

As a licensed esthetician, Ashley has a deep understanding of skincare, which enhances the level of care and communication she brings to the front desk. Known for her organization professionalism, and warm approach, she helps maintain a smooth welcoming and patient focused environment every day.

Ashley is passionate about helping people feel comfortable and confident, and she takes pride in making sure every patient feels valued and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband Blake and their three kids, relaxing at the lake, and going to concerts.
